United Kingdom's electricity is supplied at 230 / 240 volts - 50 hertz which is the same as New Zealand. All New Zealand electrical appliances would need the plug changed to the U.K. Rectangular Blade plug, these can be purchased from any DIY outlet within the United Kingdom. Different countries use different types of broadcast sytems for TV's, most of which are to varying extents incompatible with each other. United Kingdom broadcast standard is PAL I.

New Zealand uses bandwidth and audio carrier specifications PAL B/G. Fortunately, many portable computers today come with power supplies that can be used in almost any part of the world. Check the manufacturer's label to see what type of input it can handle. This applies to many digital cameras, VCR's, video games and other electronic devices as well.
