When shipping overseas with Transworld your possessions will be professionally wrapped and packed utilising our customised international wrapping materials and export-strength cartons and stowed into a container for shipping.
Shipping options are as follows:
FCL – Full Container Load
If you are shipping a full household you may need either a 20' or 40' container for your exclusive use. With this service you have flexibility of shipping and arrival dates..
Depending on the access to your home and Council approval, the container may be able to be loaded at your residence, sealed and taken directly to the port for immediate shipping.
In some countries, containers can be delivered intact directly to residence for unloading. However a notable exception is Australia, where all containers are unloaded at approved facilities and the contents inspected by the Australian quarantine authorities to ensure strict border control.
Groupage / Shared Container
For those with a small household or just looking to ship a few items, groupage shipping is the answer.
This way you share a container with other clients moving to the same destination. Groupage is an economical way of shipping, as you only pay for the space you use. Keep in mind, this service may take a little longer while we wait to fill the container for your destination but it is a very cost effective option. Transworld operates regular groupage services to all major destinations.
At destination, groupage containers are unloaded at our overseas partner's depot, with the shipments then being cleared and delivered individually.
LCL – Less than Container Load
If regular groupage/shared container services are not available to your destination country, Transworld offers an LCL service, where your effects are internationally packed, then crated for additional protection, and shipped as a single unit to your destination.
Air Freight
Air Freight is the fastest option, though the most expensive. Ideal if you’re not taking a lot, or for those extra items you’ll need soon after your arrival.
